It was a glorious wintery but sunny afternoon on March 29th, when a group of curious chocolate enthusiasts from D6 gathered on ZOOM with Oliver “the Tasting Tutor” for an experiential presentation called “For the LOVE of Chocolate”.
Starting with plants and geography, we followed the cocoa bean from pod to product. There is much to know about the beloved treat! A highlight of presentation was time spent tasting and appreciating the nuanced appearances, smells, sounds, tastes and textures of a number of thoughtfully curated chocolate samples that participants received in advance of the gathering.
On behalf of participants, a special thank you to Trudie Johnson for organizing this engaging event for members of District 6!
